请问有在DHB工作的护士吗，可以请教一下电话面试的问题吗

各位护士同僚好，
我是在国内读的护理，现在在养老院当注册护士有两年工作经验， 国内做过NICU和 paediatric congenital CCU不过时间很短，接到CCDHB的电话，下周三telephone interview，请问有什么问题需要准备的吗？ what scenario they might ask, cultural safety, patient priority, strength, weakness, what skills you have， etc
之前看有相关的帖子，已经拜读，不过已经是5年前的资讯，不知现在有什么变化

Nothing particularly really. They will ask you basic things about medication administration, ethical practise, time management, crisis management etc. Then they might also ask you about work related dilemma, such as how to deal with conflicts among colleagues and management, how to communicate with the medical team and family. Also in different specialty, they might also ask you some nursing and medical knowledge on illness, medications, treatment regime and interventions blah blah. Of course, they might also ask about your family, how long you have been in NZ, your impression of NZ and NZ nursing, your personal interests etc. If they like your CV, it's highly likely that they will accept regardless your interview. But if their attitude and impression on your CV appears marginal, then good luck.

Plus working for DHBs is just so so. The pay is not that great plus if you wanna go back to very specialized areas, e.g. ICUs, DCCM, HDUs, you have to have relevant experience in NZ systems. You will have the worst shifts to start with and only receive base rates as your senior colleagues will have the priority to choose good shifts so they will have higher chance to earn more from penal rates. You have to work a few years to gain seniority. Also if your training is outside NZ, be prepared that people might discriminate you in a very subtle way.

But anyways, good luck with your interview. CCDHB is a good place to work.

Great gratefulness for your suggestion and thank you for sharing the precious experience. If I never put effort on obtaining a position in DHB, I will surely regret. I will try my utmost for any opportunity. Subtle workplace bullying is inevitable, I am prepared.

应届毕业生在找工作。。姐姐你辞职的那个养老院缺人么。。。我找了快俩月工作啦。。。没经验找工作咋就这么难。。。我还是主投养老院。。

我还没有接到任何消息， 不过我听说franklin的养老院特别缺人，他们给我一个快一年前投简历的同事打电话问要不要去他们那，你去试试呢

当然想去primary 可是没有要的地方 都prefer nurses with experiences...sad

不是的， 还有很多诊所对新毕业生open的。好好找好
