Monitor and liaise import/export shipment arrivals/departures, FCL, LCL and airfreight with local and overseas stakeholders. • Send out quotations and proposals to clients with identifying local and overseas business opportunities. Also determining the mix of products and services for clients and negotiating conditions of trade. • Process import / export documentation and arrange the freight forwarding goods into and out of the country. • Assist in preparing docs for MPI and NZ customs and regularly check regulatory and statutory requirements regarding the importing and exporting. • Supervise the preparation of importing and exporting product information for NZ customer service staff and customers. • Process SLI's, coordinate transport and freight arrivals into the warehouse. • Coordinate bookings with shipping lines, co-loaders and airlines. And appoint third party agents and/or distributors. • Send out arrival notices and pre-alerts to destination. Arrange after-sales service procedures. • Invoicing and monitoring importing & exporting performance and preparing estimates, financial statements and reports of operations. • Perform all other admin and customer service functions as required by management with developing and implementing business plans, and marketing, operating, human resource, pricing and credit policies and procedures.
This is a great role for someone who has a solid background in handling exports or imports shipments. (Minimum 2 years’ work experience in freight forwarding and logistics industry or related qualification). Knowledge of International trade regulations and customs procedures is an advantage.
