Auckland based Property developer with a vision to create communities that New Zealanders love being a part of, seeks a talented accountant to join our Team. The position is hands-on and the successful candidate will be involved with the management of our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this person will be responsible for:

• Producing monthly and annual financial statements
• Monthly financial reporting
• Compliance with statutory requirements
• Assisting with external audit processes
• Maintenance of fixed assets
• Responsibility for the General Ledger, Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis
• RWT, GST and FBT filings
• Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting
• Yearly project cost allocation
  

To be considered for this role you will be:

• Tertiary and CA qualified or working towards your CA qualification with at least three years’ proven experience in a comparable role;
• knowledge of IFRS, tax, and company compliance regulations, and internal accounting controls
• Proficient in Excel and Xero or similar accounting package;
• Goal orientated with strong time management skills;
• Work well in a team environment and be prepared to step in to assist others;
• Have a high attention to detail and take pride in the quality of your work;
• Have excellent communication skills; and,
• Be self-motivated.
