New Zealand Miracle Water is a Hawkes Bay based water bottling company producing safe, natural, pure and high quality drinking water to both overseas and local markets. We have our purposely built manufacturing plant with advanced ‘clean room’ filling operations. Our water has been specially selected in the Hawke’s Bay region. Our products are packaged in different sizes to meet customers’ needs and we also have the capacity to produce as per customer individual requirements.
We are now looking for a qualified company accountant supporting the business operation and the management’s executive decisions with the accounting and finance functions.
This is a key role in the organisation, and you will need to be a strategic thinker as well as possess can-do attitude with details focus ability and skills and enjoys the day to day accounting and financial responsibilities. Your duties may include but not limited to:
• Maintaining and updating (if necessary) our computerized accounting system/software and providing training to the staffs who are involved to ensure that the system is functional, efficient and user friendly.
• Preparing monthly/quarterly financial report and forecast to the directors for their information as part of the internal financial reviewing and reporting process conducted by the management.
• Developing and formulating finance budget of the company in conjunction with the directors and management at intervals of monthly/quarterly/annually, and monitoring the variation and deviation from the budget, and reporting significant accounting and financing issues to the directors and management.
• Assisting the directors and management in analyzing the financial performance of the business and making strategic financial decision
• Providing financial advice to directors and management on business expansion project business structure and operational mode.
• Developing and formulating organization’s accounting policies/rules/practice and being responsible for implementing the policies/rules/practice.
Attending to all other accounting and financial matters from time to time when they arise or when required by the directors.
In terms of background and experience, ideally you will need to have the following attributes and qualifications.
• Relevant work experience in accounting related fields, and a bachelor degree or higher qualification majoring in accounting are essential;
• Strong skills and capability to focus on the details are a must
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and team oriented
• Well organized, well-spoken, enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and high level of integrity
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Fluent both in English and Chinese
