it is not opposition as such ( the government is in majority to pass the Law), just voice (if you have and have the ability to do so) your opinions on some clauses, definitions, clarity and practicality in terms of how the OIA can enforce the legislation, and providers of service can comply without ambiguity.
A good law is people can understand, easy to follow, providers of service can comply without much ambiguity and the intention of the Act (OIA) is achieved.
Participation is part of democratic process, I have seen many interest groups opinions were read out and considered by the select committee in the passing of any Act. Although your opinions expressed will be considered by the select committee but not necessarily followed.
