Quantity Surveying with Open Polytechic

I am living in far north, wanting to be a Quantity surveyor.

I need to do the Bachelor of Construction (either diploma or degree) to get in the industry. The options I have are as below:

1. Unitech - Auckland
2. Massey
3. Open Polytechnic - online learning possible

I have to go to option 3 becoz 1&2 are too far away from me, can't travel that often with young family to look after.

Does anyone know whether it's a good call to do the construction study with Open polytech since this is such a hands-on subject?

Anyone with any view or experience are welcome. Thanks a lot.

I have made some calls today, the facts is, my only choice is open polytechnic because I can study at home totally.

Just wonder whether Open polytech really is good enough, but not wasting my time.

Unitch and Massey have good reputation in job hunting...
