I decided to built a new one now. To remove the old house( built in 1950, Extended in 1980's), wha ...
If the house is built in 1950's, it is not subject to the pre-1944 heritage building control under the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan (PAUP) so it should be OK for you to remove it. To proceed, you need a designer to do a new house design first.
Assuming the new house design complies with everything in the Auckland Council (North Shore) District Plan and some sections of the PAUP (and assuming there is no flooding, geotechnical, tree, stream issues, etc on site), you do not need a Resource Consent but just a Building Consent to demolish and build this house. Otherwise, you will need a Resource Consent. |
