I took one of those stress leave a couple of years ago, I think it really depends on your employer. I took four months off without pay, well actually the first month was paid as it was my annual leave. My position was kept as per agreement. I left the company after I came back unfortunately due to personal reason as I was looking for something different and more challenging, there's no loss for them anyway. They found a temp to do my job while I was on leave. But I think if I wanted to stay, I was actually entitled to, as I signed few paper works with the company.
You need to talk to your employer about this as well as your HR. It's a long process took me few months but I was glad I made the decision to do it by the end. |
