9 M2 v& r* k& @be used wherever a time and season dog access rule is used on a beach. The decision was to
0 G% J' R, K1 M" v2 [adopt a standard summer beach time and season of 10am and 5pm, Labour Weekend to 1 March,
+ i7 j1 G+ H( `+ d' ^and to exempt its application on Hauraki Gulf islands (including Waiheke Island and Great Barrier
# [; K5 g% |% V# c6 x0 mIsland).
1 J" z5 g& N5 x' Q- xHowever, the new standard summer time and season will not be in effect until the forum and# _+ @! c" f, @7 E" \/ O
local boards have reviewed all beach dog access rules in each area. The review will identify the5 D$ y! p% m0 ~( j) ^9 J
most appropriate mix of dog access rules for our beaches. This might mean that the new summer8 O4 D9 ?- B6 G7 c
times and season will apply to some beaches, while for other beaches dogs may be allowed under& w) U5 R$ e, @' J t( x9 w. \/ B
control off a leash at all times. The need to carry out this review and work out the best way to
