I was told that if less than 50m2 then don't need to get approved by city council.

据我所知在奥克兰市，如果你的是封闭的太阳房，是要申请Building Consent，除非你是周阳用半开放的凉棚那种就可以，否则以后有人投诉还是要拆的。所以还是要向CC确认再建比较好。

Do I need a building consent?

In most cases you will require a building consent for a conservatory, the only exception is if you have an existing floor/deck and the floor area does not exceed 5m2. In regards to porches or canopy roofs you can now build up to 20m2.

谢谢LS 的, 非常清楚看到如果不想申请Building Consent, 只能在现成的Deck或地板上可以建不大于5平方的太阳暖房, 遮阳棚或门廊可以建到20平方.

蜂蜜太阳房不管多大面积都需要审批吗？不是小于5个平米不需要吗？
