不知道lz读什么major的。
gpa 是grade point average,基本上就是学习平均分
不知道lz指的 ”像样的女生“是什么。 相貌而已?还是才女?还是要相貌+才女?
honours::
accounting & finance, 至少7.0, 但是其实是rank的,有一个cut off point,用gpa排名,排满了就是cut off point。
econ 是 b+, comlaw 是b+
post grad 不是很清楚,澳大现在好像不offer graddip的certificate,不过这个你要问。。
如果你是学accounting 或者finance, 给你以下资料参考读honours的资料
The selection process
The BCom (Hons) programme is only open to students who have been invited by the Department of Accounting and Finance to submit an application to the programme. Students cannot apply to this programme online on the Student Services Online system. The selection process for invitations to apply takes place at the end of each year (around November/December).
In selecting the students that are to receive an invitation to apply to the BCom (Hons) programme, the Department assesses the academic performance of all BCom and BBIM students majoring in accounting and/or finance at The University of Auckland that have completed at least two years of study. Two grade point average (GPA) calculations form the main basis for this assessment:
1. A GPA calculation based on all courses taken in the Department of Accounting and Finance so far (i.e., stage 1, stage 2, or stage 3 level).
2. A GPA calculation based on all courses taken in all subjects of the BCom or BBIM degree so far.
The minimum that a student must have to make it onto our preliminary list to receive an invitation to apply is a GPA equal or greater than 7.0 (i.e., an A- average or higher) for both GPA calculations. From those making it onto the preliminary list, we then rank students from top to bottom based on both GPA calculations and reduce this to a final short list of the top 85 to 90 students. Only those students making it onto the final short list are sent invitations to apply to the BCom (Hons) programme in the Department. Note, however, there are only 45 to 50 places available in the BCom (Hons) programme in each year. This means that more invitations to apply are sent out than there are places available.
From the applications received, the Department re-assesses students based mainly on their academic performance, but also on their personal character and their career goals. The final selection process is rigorous and may involve the interviewing of applicants. The top 45 to 50 applicants in this final selection process will be made offers of a place in the BCom (Hons) programme in the Department.
In general, students aspiring to join the BCom (Hons) programme in the Department of Accounting and Finance must strive to achieve as high grades as they can in all subject disciplines taken, not just accounting and/or finance, in their BCom or BBIM degree. To give you an indication of the quality of the students that ultimately get into the BCom (Hons) programme in the Department, typically students have an overall GPA in their BCom or BBIM degree that ranges between 7.7 to 8.2, which equates to about an A average.
Competition for places in the BCom (Hons) programme in the Department is high. While students must ensure that they have performed at a high level in their BCom or BBIM degree, they should note that having high grades may still not be a guarantee of a place in the programme because of the limited places available in the programme each year (i.e., as indicated above, about 35 to 40 places). |
