Welcome to the Annual Appeal News

As a loyal supporter of SPCA activities recently you are invited, nay begged, to help in some way with the National Appeal in a few weeks time, 6-12 November.
SPCA needs its supporters and volunteers to help raise money for the animal operational costs for the next year. This includes the inspector services, vet care, shelter, food, and adoption service for all the animals referred.
Over 1,660 animals were surrendered to Waikato SPCA care in the first 7 months of 2010. The fundraising goal is $80,000. Money raised in Waikato is used in the Waikato

Why do we need to fundraise? There is no government or council funding for SPCA services in NZ.
What can you do to help the animals? Please donate you time and if not then your money!

Animals for Adoption

jack Russell male approx. 1 yr old.  lovely boy, very affectionative and lots of fun.  he enjoys being out and about with people and loves playing with other dogs.  

would suit someone who will be able to give him the time and energy he deserves.

buster is an awesome boy, will be available by saturday.  he is a little nervous around loud noises and loud voices. is very affectionate and good with other dogs.

he is a large breed dog, probably a dane x.  male approx 2yrs old.

Bella is a great little girl,  beagle, female approx 2yrs old.  she has been rehomed before but was to active for the family. she will need to have a good amount of exercise. SHE IS VERY ACTIVE! loves being around people and other dogs.

Bella is awesome.  when she came in (over a month ago) she was extremely skinny, and has infected gums.  she has made a full recovery and is in desperate need of a loving active and caring home.

Patch is a beautiful girl, she is very active  She aims to please and would be easy to train. She is full of energy so needs quite active parents.

she will be a small breed dog.

our little poppy is finally out of isolation after having ringworm and is up for adoption. she has been here since late july, she has even been in the paper!!
she is very outgoing and energetic.  loves to play and be around people, is good with other dogs and is ok with cats

6mth old Rotti x female,  gppd with other dogs, great with people and good with children.  

she is a sweet natured girl, who loves to go for a walk and be around people.

Flynn is a lovely boy who has been with us since the 25th of july after he was abandoned at a local sports stadium.

has has an awsome nature, is approx 5mths old, black male who has been microchipped, de sexed and is vaccinated.

Flynn deserves a forever home with a loving caring family to call his own.

Bronx is a active young girl, approx 2yrs old.  she came in at the beginning of july!!  she is very affectionate and loving.  loves to play and go for walks or just hanging around you.  

she has been here to long and is desprately seeking a new owner to love and cherish.

this little man came in on the 21st july, was very skinny and unloved.  now he is fit and healthy and in urgent need of a forever home!!
he loves to play and also likes to chill out on his own in the sun.  come down to the haven and check this little cutie out!!

Bailey did belong to someone but she got lost and the owners have not come forward. She is a very special bunny because she came in with a severe ear infection which caused her head to tilt. She has since been treated and has recovered very well. She will make a great indoor pet as she knows how to use a litter tray but would also be suitable in a large outdoor rabbit hutch.

Aprox 4-5 years old
Sandy was stray and hanging around someone's house for a month. Homeless and hungry, they decided to bring her into us. She is such a lovely girl, inquisitive and playful.

Lucky was abandoned by his owners, it is hard to tell why as he is such a lovely cat, and very beautiful.

These two are mother daughter, they were a little shy at first but now are loving, sweet cats. It would be good to see them go together, but they would cope ok alone.

Sheeba is such a lovely boy who loves his cuddles. He has a mild heart murmur and is getting quite old so needs a lovely home to settle into for his last few years. He will be $50.00 to adopt.
