if you are driving in New Zealand on an overseas licence or permit that is not in English, you must carry an accurate English translation issued by:
* a translation service that has been authorised by the Director of Land Transport, or
* a diplomatic representative at a high commission, embassy or consulate, or
* the authority that issued your overseas licence (an international driving permit may be acceptable as a translation).
The following translation services have been approved by Land Transport NZ to translate overseas licences into English.
