I personally think it is your material is prepared not enough that leads to the decline.
I applied for it myself and I was in despair too but I carefully prepared and answered all the queries one by one in written material and provided photo evidence and then in the final stage, it was all okay.
It is not dependent on how many staff you have or how much turn-over the shop has. It is dependent on whether you are skilled or not: for money (budget and spending); for people (hire, discipline and schedule); and for stock (pricing and promoting) and for community (supporting and marketing etc).
Someone previously said he did not do budgeting and saw nobody with a shop does that. Please remember to differentiate the budgeting in accounting term and real life term. What that means is, take tobacco for example, the shops orders the tobacco based on previous sales. That is called budgeting. You do not want to overstock or understock certain brands. You can base that from your experience but that is called budgeting. |
