关于网络专业的求职

本人刚从本地某大学计算机专业pgd毕业 一类毕业生 手持open visa 想找关于网络方面的工作
有ccie （RS）但没有工作经验 在国内三大运营商之一，某国有银行，证券公司的网络部有实习经验 现在就想找个工作先积累几年经验
想问下这里是去isp好呢 还是网络公司好呢  一般面试都会提什么问题 那个技术上哪部分比较看重

CCIE啊  新西兰就没几个IE吧

没经验就是张废纸  现在就想好好学习两年  要是能顺带把pr给办了我就做梦都笑了

说的不错，经验再加证书才是锦上添花
光有证书就是花，没啥用
但是纽村用不到IE的技术 NP的都够呛

是啊   就不知道有没有公司要点证来装装门面啊 哈哈哈

how did you get your CCIE without any work experience at all? If you are given a fault to do with MPLS/OSPF/BGP etc, can you actually solve them?

are you looking for an entry level role or a senior role?

Learn and research every technology from the entr-level, do lots of relevant experiments every day, and is quite good at IGP, BGP and MPLS.
A entry level position is enough for me at this stage, and plan to get a second CCIE in the near future years.

i am going to be very honest with you, i think you will have a great challenge finding your first job in the country (well we all been through the same phase) due to the following reason:
- you are overqualified for an entry level role, no one will hire a CCIE into a helpdesk/tier2 role as they will be concerned how long you will stay in the team for.
- most employers will be reluctant to offer you a senior role with no actual commercial experience on your back at all (reality is the guy that interview you probably is working on his own CCIE, and how likely do you think he will offer you a job?)
- there aren't that many hardcore Cisco role in the country, most of the networking role are Microsoft centric. (e.g. when i worked for Datacom 15 years ago, they had about 800 Microsoft sys admin, 200 *NIX sys admin, and only 5 network engineers that look after firewalls + cisco, just to show you the ratio of networking people needed in a company).

Your best bet is to try to get into a telco or ISP, i know most of the teams that deal with Cisco in Telecom + Gen-i and i am not aware of any of them that are looking for a senior engineer at all.

Best of luck to you though, just be aware that first job is always hard in NZ, all you can do is keep trying, good luck.

建议在国内大公司拿几年经验再来这边找会容易很多。我认识一个在百度工作直接拿到这边的OFFER过来的，没有工作经验很吃亏，这边给新人积累工作经验的机会太少了。

两个真实的故事：

（1）某同学有 MSc + MS MCSE，申请工作很久，都没有回音。他反复思量，然后发CV是仅说明 是 BSc + MCSE， 很快就面试和找到工作。

（2）某同学是UK 的MSc， 找工作很久，没有结果，就去考个 A+，然后找单位做 Volunteer，半年多后，该单位认可他的经验和能力，转为 全职，然后他再考 MCSA，两年后 是业务负责人。

LZ有没有 CCNP 证书？可能会有用。

现实很残酷，但机会总是存在的。 祝好运。

有ccna和ccnp 但总不甘心啊  考个ccie容易嘛  钱且不说 花了那么大的精力和时间 最后没法派用场 这到底是怎样的一个世界

你现在需要的是打入敌人的内部嘛，你需要本地工作经验。有了1-2年本地工作经验，就有机会选择合适的工作。

作为一个团队的队员，领导们首先考虑的是你的团队合作能力，然后就是你能在这个团队多长时间。

从技术的角度，IE 能做的，有多少是NP不能做的？有个NP就够的，特别的技术问题，可以请外援啊。

机会很多啊，一是靠你的实力，二也要看运气。祝好运。

你知道么？我知道的两个前辈，PHD读完后，要到太平洋岛国才能找到工作，然后再到澳洲。

不要急躁，慢慢来。机会随时都会降临。

"太平洋岛国"是什么国家?是说斐济吗?到斐济能找到什么样的要PHD的工作?
