2.国家博物馆 www.tepapa.govt.nz, walk to civic square via city to sea bridge, then come bak to the seashore,
3. and oriental bay just next to te papa, take a stroll there ,
4. bus 14 to railway station or take a quick walk on lambton quay to parliament,
5. free trip on the hour everyday http://www.parliament.nz/en-NZ/A ... cational-visits.htm
6. extra points--take cable car from lambton quay to the top of botanic garden http://www.wellingtoncablecar.co.nz/, the cable car museum is a cute site to visit,
7. walk to botanic garden --lady norwood rrose garden if you like roses a lot and haven't seen rose garden in your city (doubt it)

this should cover your very busy day. note most museums open from 10am.
understand that with a kid, you cannot really do much, try focus on the stroll on the wharf and oriental bay and allow 2-3 hours in te papa, try the discovery centres on level 2 and 4, altogether 4 of them, and also the bush city ---------.
