     The Success of reclamation of Soda   saline-alkaline land by Iron tailings

The worldwide problem of reclaiming Soda saline-alkaline soil was solved by Chinese Technology researcher.  In recent days, The project appraisal meeting of “The technical study of utilization of iron tailings to reclaim soda saline-alkaline soil” was hold, organized by CISA in Changchun city, northeast of China. Experts agreed that this technology already achieve the international advanced level, the project was acclaimed and passed appraisal by CISA.

Iron tailings – a waste material of mineral beneficiation plants, on the premise of non-toxic and non-harmful, mix with ion exchangers, precipitant, adsorbent, etc, to make new modifier, sprinkle 30tons/hectare, after 3 years cultivation of rice and corn, turn severe soda saline-alkaline soil into fertile farmland.

It is success using this new technology, to turn 90million hectare of soda saline-alkaline soil into fertile farmland in short time in China, result in growth 360million ton of grain output. Such new research result, bring the good news to the Countries which owned large area of soda saline-alkaline land.

The researchers have finished lab test on cultivation in coastal saline-alkaline land and obtained exciting progress, and will expand this test recently. Once the technology succeed, will make a huge impact on the grain production capacity universally.
