To many, Christmas is the season associated with joy and giving; it's also the time to celebrate with all things bright and sparkly. This is why MOTAT is once again organising one of our most anticipated and popular events of the year: Christmas Lights, MOTAT Nights. Share in the magic of the Festive Season with Santa while experiencing the Museum's heritage buildings, streetscapes and tram beautifully lit up with sparkling fairly lights. Starting at 8pm, this Friday, 11 Dec, there'll be a myriad of things to see and do with live entertainment, tram rides and traditional Christmas treats such as mulled wine and cake pops on sale. Plus from Friday, 18 Dec, there will be the added bonus of outdoor Christmas movies* to add to the experience. Entry is only $2 per person and every cent will be used to buy Christmas gifts for those less fortunate in our community. This year MOTAT is teaming up with Auckland Women's Refuge and Starship Foundation to help brighten Christmas for those in their care. Come along and play a part in this community fundraising initiative. As a wise man once said, "fashion your life as garlands of beautiful deeds".
