Morning All,
It's starting to feel like we're getting back to normal again now, and the first days of lockdown are a distant memory, in fact this is now the tenth Sunday since lockdown started.
It seems to me that the market is cracking on really well, which flies in the face of all of the economists and other doom merchants who get a voice in the media.
I see that the company went past 300 sales for the week last week, and the outlook is great for buyers, with banks offering really low interest rates, and 2.69% is getting to be a common offering. I also think that it's significant that BNZ are offering 2.99% for 5 years, which has to be good for anyone planning to borrow.
Thanks to Stephen Rendall and Alex Baker I was able to achieve a new milestone as an auctioneer this week by selling 147A Arney Road for $8 million! The most amazing part of that was that there were around 15 bidders. Who knew that there were that many wealthy buyers in the market?
Streaming of auctions online is well underway, and we are getting great results in the rooms too. I still maintain that the best place for a buyer is to be physically present in the auction rooms.
And on top of that we even have real live sport on TV too, weren't the Warriors impressive?
Enjoy the rest of your long weekend everyone, and let's rip into it, there's loads of business to be done!
Cheers
Murray
