HD Contractor Ltd is seeking a driven Business DevelopmentSpecialist to join our team for renovation-related projects. This role supportsthe daily operations of HD Contractor's Additions & Alterations (A&A)team by converting warm leads, building long-term customer relationships, andassisting with project costing and estimation within the renovation sector. Therole will primarily cover Auckland and surrounding regions, including Hamilton.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Follow up on incoming leads and manage client enquiries.
- Conduct site visits and client consultations.
- Understand client requirements and provide professional advice.
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and scope breakdowns.
- Negotiate and close deals professionally.
· Perform cost estimates and quantity take-offs. · Calculate material and labour costs forrenovation projects. · Ensure pricing aligns with company margintargets. · Develop own client base through networking andreferrals. · Identify and explore new renovationopportunities. · Maintain relationships with repeat customers. · Contribute to the growth of the A&Adepartment.
- Coordination & Communication
· Act as the key liaison between clients andinternal teams. · Coordinate with purchasing and site supervisors. · Ensure smooth communication throughout theproject lifecycle. · Maintain strong client relationships fromenquiry to job completion. JobRequirements: · Minimum 1 year of experience in constructionsales, renovation coordination, or a related role. · Ability to interpret basic building plans. · Ability to prepare cost estimates and quotationsfor A&A projects.
- Basic knowledge of material and labour costing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team.
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
- Tertiary qualification in construction, business, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
