·         MG

 

Welcome MG to Faith’s home based childcare. We are so happy for you to join our family.

 

MG is a very good girl. On the first day here, she played very well with CRN, KSL and YY, especially with KSL. She is very happy everyday, watching and playing with KSL.

 

MG has a wide variety of interests. She enjoys playgroup at the library. She likes going out to play at parks. She is very well behaved when we go out. At the playground she is very brave and independent. MG loves listening to music, reading books and drawing. She also really likes playing with our cat Snuggli. She gets very excited everyday when she sees Snuggli. She even offers her favourite dummy to her.

 

MG eats and sleeps very well. She is a very polite girl. When other children and parents are leaving, she always waves and says bye-bye until they are out of view. What a lovely and beautiful girl! Well done MG!

 

MG loves to play Tag and Hide and Seek with KSL. She also likes to pretend to talk on the toy telephone. At the park, MG likes to play on the playground. She can slide down the slide, climb ropes and swing on the swing. She’s very confident and likes to try new games. She is also a very fast learner. She is so well behaved and always smiling. We have really enjoyed having her here. J

 

·         KSL

 

KSL enjoys playing with toys that he can take apart and put together. He found some dinosaur toys and really loves to take the pieces apart. He can become so absorbed in his playing that he forgets everything else! He is also very careful to not lose any pieces. He is developing very good fine motor and problem solving skills.

KSL also loves to run around. He plays very well with his new friend MG. They like to play Hide and Seek together. When they get tired of running, they sing with the CD player or read books together. They are so cute! KSL has also improved in his feeding. He is eating more which is great for his growth.

 

·         YY

 

YY is so happy to be back with us after my return from China. She had to temporarily go to a different home-care and missed me a lot. She is happy to be able to play with her friends again.

 

This month, I noticed that YY has developed more independent thought. She has also developed a bit of jealousy! For example, she likes to ask me who is my favourite child. This is very normal at her age and it is so adorable. She has also become a little leader here at Faith’s home-care. When she sees someone do something wrong, she will always tell them to stop and tell them it is wrong. And when KSL doesn’t listen, she will remind him that she is the oldest and therefore the leader. At lunchtime, she will call the other kids to stop playing and come to the table. She is like a bit sister to KSL. It is great that she is developing these leadership skills. It means she is more confident and mature. It also means she is a good helper for me!

 

YY continues to enjoy reading and painting. She has really built on her language skills. Her English is very good despite not attending English speaking day-care. She can even read aloud some books in both English and Chinese. She is a fast and keen learner.

 

We have also been working on her motor skills. We practiced passing a ball or balloon to each other. She has improved a lot in her reflexes and hand-eye coordination! Her fine motor skills have also improved, evidenced by the way she plays with small toys and putting together toys that KSL has taken apart.

 

YY’s toilet training is also going well. I think she is a very intelligent girl who will continue to develop all of her skills sets.
