18个月不能超过9个月是对所有普通类旅游签都适用的限制，不用写在签证上

如果你申请了3个月延期，原来的5年多次往返签证会失效。
即使能待上12个月，也不是你前面说的“你可以不停的出入境呆满5年，当然如果再要重新申请visitor visa就要等5年才行”。

而且据我所知，申请3个月延期后移民局会新发一个3个月延期的签证，而这个新签证会导致原来的5年多次往返签证失效。除非是5年签正好要到期了，要不然申请这3个月延期得不偿失。

12个月周期内不能超过6个月，不然不给entry permission也就是不能入境。你自己看吧。

大白话就是父母类旅游签不用管9/18和6/12，但是需要遵守18/36.
