We’re looking for a talented mechanical engineer to help us on our quest.

We supply leading New Zealand and International manufacturers, like ABB, AuCom Electronics,Tait, and Trimble with the custom components they need to bring their products to life.

Everyday we wake up to find ways to serve our customers better, and we need more great people to help us do so.

Along with existing customers, new enquiries are coming in all the time – so we need someone to help us continue delivering the components and service we’re known for.

Working in our Christchurch branch, your role is to help customers get clear on what they are trying to achieve, highlight any details that are missing, and then communicate with our team at Daking China to find the right solution.

You’ll be dealing with a diverse group of customers producing a wide range of products, from medium voltage soft starters to double-sided fireplaces. And because every component is custom you’ll need to do a bit of research before presenting an option to the customer.

You’ll be an experienced engineer with broad industry knowledge, ideally you’ll also have hands-on experience transforming raw materials into finished products, so you can easily identify the finer details which need to be considered.

Some customers will require 3D modelling, so you’ll be comfortable using AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS but equally comfortable communicating via. e-mail and phone in both English and Mandarin.

And, as our quality lead, you’ll have a strong eye for detail, easily spotting things which aren’t up to standard; rating thickness, environmental compliance, paint finish and more.  

In a nutshell – we need a solutions finder, a good communicator, and a team player. We need someone who’ll work hard for our customers and help us to supply even more manufacturers with the custom components they need to bring their products to life.
