Hunt for CEOfor a Charity – for Chinese Community

Job title:Chief Executive

Reporting to:Board of Trustees

Location: AlbanyAuckland office (with home working flexibility)

Salary: bynegotiation

The charityprovides parenting courses and children sports training all over Auckland andother cities.

It has got awide connection with other communities. Purpose: The CEO will lead inestablishing a new Charity and help build the organization. The CEO will alsoembrace the vision and provide strategic leadership, enabling the Charity toachieve challenging income generation targets through the development ofcomprehensive financial and fundraising plans. They will act as the leadambassador for the Charity and raise our profile with all supporters and stakeholders.Our values and culture will be key, and the CEO will lead and empower staff(including volunteers) while fully embracing diversity and inclusion. They willbe accountable to the Board for ensuring the Charity operates legally andsafely.  

Overallresponsibilities:

-       Vision andStrategy -Work with the Board to construct an inspirational vision

-       Develop andimplement a strategy to deliver the vision

-       Translate thestrategy into realistic plans                                    

-       Measureprogress against agreed Key Performance Indicators

-         Governance-Build an effective relationship with the Chair and Board of Trustees   

-         Ensure theCharity meets all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements

-         Ensure theCharity has effective policies in all areas                          

-         Ensure theannual report and accounts are submitted on time              

-         Develop andmaintain relationships with appropriate levels of governance within the Charity

-         Buildrelationships with other service providers as appropriate

-         Be fullyconversant with developments and changes in the overall fundraisingenvironment         -

-         Explore anddevelop all appropriate avenues to increase income generation

-         Act as leadambassador for the Charity, build relationships with stakeholders andsupporters, represent the Charity at external events                                                

-         Explore waysto enhance the Charity’s branding  People and Culture -Lead, inspire, support and empower staff andvolunteers

-         Embed a clearset of values and ensure all staff and volunteers embrace them

-         Create aculture of continuous improvement throughout the charity

-         Lead thecommitment to diversity and inclusion throughout a fully engaged workforce
