We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, fun loving yet empathetic Lead and Assistant Soccer Coaches who are willing to go that extra mile to get the best out of our pre-school kids aged 18 months through to age 7 years. You will also need to know how to get the best out of shy children and be able to build good relationships with parents. This job would suit a mature student with confidence who is outgoing and willing to interact with others as there is a certain level of responsibility that comes with the job!
We use imaginative play as a means to teach pre-school children soccer skills so a background/interest in the sport is required but you also need to release your inner child. You will be working alongside a lead coach and full training is given so no coaching experience required. You will need excellent communication skills for this job.
Reliability is a must. We have several locations across South+South East Christchurch and you must be able to travel to any of them at short notice so a car is a necessity. You will also be in charge of holding onto the kit (balls/goals etc and this cannot be done on a push bike).
You will be needed to work either Saturday morning (REQUIRED) with possibility of more hours as the program progresses in the future. You must be able to commit to these times as the children will become attached to you, so please do think about whether this would suit your lifestyle before applying. We would also prefer someone who can commit for at least a year. This will be for around 3-4 hours every weekend.
Experience with young children is necessary as is a high general fitness level. Excellent communication skills is also essential.
Locations, where work will take place, are; Northshore AUckland - Note games and coaching will be split between two people, you will not be required to go to all locations listed.
(1) Assistant Coach - 3 - 4 hours each week
(2) Administration 6-8 hours per week. (working from home, email only) - Basic excel word skill.
