I do not own I3 so I'm not in the position to give any information including pricing on I3 services as it may be mis-leading.

Servicing EV is still a quite new area given EV only became popular in the last couple of years. Tesla service centre recommends that only bring the car back when there is mechanical problem and then service the car at the time. As there are a lot less mechanical components and no fluid in motor(s), the drive chain does not run into issues as often as ICE.

I have seen in various forums that majority of people taking I3 back to BMW for its first service after 2 years of ownership. This is just FYI. I can only assume the service only includes checking/clearing errors codes, top up brake fluid, wipe wash fluid etc. At the end of the day, the only things get changed when servicing ICE is just Engine Oil and Oil filter. The rest are all visual checkings and topping up etc.

service是比烧油的少，但是一年至少service也得一次，价格一样不会便宜 ，优点除了市区开开省点油钱，远程我还是会开油车。。。并没有觉得有什么大优势

其实买EV，在现在这个阶段，总是亏的，因为当你电池损耗到80%以下的时间，里程数会直线下降。可能到时候只能开50-60KM，也基本上烂在手里了。最主要原因是在NZ，还没法换EV电池，以后能换，那价格也跟再买一台差不多了。但是 千金难买爷乐意，喜欢就买，就这么简单。我喜欢混动，就把家里车全换成混动了。。。

As long as the vehicle is legally road worthy (has valid WOF and Rego) , why does insurance company need your vehicle service record? I have dealt with State before and they never asked for service record.

i3可是对开门和碳纤维+铝合金车身哦，现在的价格已经是谷底了，因为明年i3停产

3万能买到除了i3 还有plugin Hybrid puris和outlander。每天通勤不超过40公里，plugin hybrid基本可以当EV使用。

如果只有你描述的用途的話，其實 I3 挺不錯可以考慮入手，不過貌似I3 過2年要停產了
