Women’s Street Smart Self Defence Workshop
This high quality workshop is brought to you by Charlie Riley from Safe Self Defence & Close Quarters Combat and Sport Auckland’s ActivAsian. Charlie has run workshops for schools, universities and the community for over 10 years and has lots of experience teaching girls and young women to protect themselves in difficult situations. Ladies, don’t become a victim. Join us NOW!
This is the second workshop of Sport Auckland’s ActivAsian Youth Programme 2019. The ActivAsian Youth Programme is an initiative which aims to provide (but not limited) to young Asian New Zealanders with the opportunity to be involved in the sport and recreation community through volunteering and self-develop workshops. We hope through this programme students could develop social skills, employability, be an active participant in community events and more. It is especially suitable for new migrant students as volunteering is a fun and useful way to connect with their local community and build their sense of belongings.
Other than this workshop, we run a weekly Spike Spin Smash programme (click here for more information) free for under 18 years old and $ 5 per adult and a weekly Sunday walk.
