Looks like a great family fun event to go on Easter Friday.
Thousands of Easter eggs will be dropping from the sky as a helicopter hovers over the Auckland Domain on April 18.
After the helicopter has safely left the area, the race is on for children to storm the field and collect the eggs.
The spectacle is part of the free annual Egg Day Out which will be at the Auckland Domain, North Harbour Stadium and Vodafone Events Centre on Good Friday.
More than 30,000 Cadbury Easter eggs will be handed out during the event.

Last year thousands of families flocked to Orakei Domain to take part.
The event will run from 11am till 4pm.

This month we say goodbye to daylight savings and hello to dark mornings, moving our clocks back an hour this Sunday. It's not all bad though – April is shaping up to be pretty choice. With Easter and ANZAC Day falling close together, you can take three days off the regular working week and grab yourself a 10-day holiday. Sweet!
