I agree some of the things you said in your first post, but you probably don’t understand apartments – there are many things to look at before you buy apartments – not only the rate of return or the capital gain, but only outgoings (i.e. Body Corporate).
Hyatt is a good building but body corporate is $12000 per year.
Docks is good quality too but on Maori land
H47 is OK, but location wise not the best.
The new apartment on Hobson – you mean Fiore? Auckland City Mission is building an apartment block right next to Fiore to host all the homeless people in Auckland – not many people wants to be neighbours of the homeless…
I think your post is good, but you might have exaggerated some of the examples…
You also said North Shore is good investment, it really depends – if you read some property books, you should know property prices always goes up if it’s closer to the city (i.e. Auckland CBD).
I thought investment strategies are based on ‘buy low sell high’ – but in the case of North Shore and Albany, it’s not close to city (also imagine how long it’ll take to build another CBD), I think the price will gradually increase but not at the rate that you’ve mentioned...
