Good afternoon Rhys,
My Name is xxx, my application number is xxxxxxx. I believe that you are the case office of my permanent residence application.
My husband (xxxxxx) and I have a situation here, we bought our first house in West Auckland last year. Now we are looking to purchase our second house in One Tree Hill.
The problem is we have not got our permanent residency yet, it is very hard for us to go ahead. As we know the sooner we can make our decision for the second house the better price we can negotiate.
So we really would like to find out how our application is going and when we can get it.
Could you please reply me at your earliest convenience? Any updates you could provide regarding this will be much appreciated.

Your application is currently undergoing standard background checks that should be completed before the end of this month although I con not guarantee this.
once the checks have been completed I will review the resulting report and make a full assessment of your application, should any problems arise we are looking at a further 2 months (at least) before your application can be finalised.
