Economic boom and bust is normal in a market-driven economy. NZ rock economy in the past a few years is not due to high house price, but NZ green and clean products are extremely popular in China. High house price is a by-product of booming economy.
In the foreseeable future, we can see trade tension between US and China, Fed hike rate, NZ business have no confidence on Labour-lead government. A recession is inevitable, and house price will go down.
