The new policy affects me a lot as I am considering to apply my parents to be here. Everthing does have both positive and negative part to be considered. To be honest, I suggest the policy need to be changed according to some negative facts brought up by new immigrants who supposed to be support by their children to be in New Zealand last few yesrs. But there are more ways to make the policy more fair and reasonable for everyone.
Firstly, we could learn from our neighbor Australia that asking the bond to make sure those parents not apply benefit in a certain of time, maybe 10 years. And in those 10 year, the parents should be supported to have their own health insurance to cover all the cost while they are in New Zealand. Also I suggest if anyone against the role, they should get fine which is be away from New Zealand and the bond should not be returned. Increasing their children's income is not effected way as the families made cheat would still behave the same, only cost a bit more money to pay their own tax. Also the immigration should revisit their children's work to find out if it is true, the one who had the minimum wages paid 1 or 2 years ago, how they could update themsellf to get nearly double up of their paid in short time. Also immigration should hold the application for upto 5 years if their suported children receive benefit anytime in last 5 years. These suggests would help to check if the children's income is reliable enough.
Secondly, the immigration should work coperative with Work and Income department, some one may say it is impossible or it is too late. But the immigration still can recheck the children's income if their parents have not transfer the visa to PPR, why not decline the PR if they find a game playing there. I pretty sure immigration would find quite big amont of their children 'lose job' or 'back to study".
I understand there are a lot new immigrants who work really hard and update them well to be here, so please do not argue with me if you are not the one who play cheat. Support me for a reasonable policy bringing up.
Anyone help me paste it to the website please. No crew how to work it out.
Cheers
