Thanks for your comment, I am by no means a role model or honouring chinese. I am just guy who works in IT industry. You have given me a new direction to think about this,, really appreciate your comments.

I thought about your questions:
1. I am not confident i will get the same role next year.

2. I think its a very good question ! I actually dont have an answer for that. It will be a big turning point for me either way, if i go down the contractor path,, i will have to put the hard work in, focus on technical side,, build strong tech ability, work long hours, and make good money for the next 4 or 5 years (if i can continues finding contractor role). If I stay in NZ, I have a good opportunity to break into middle management level, it can be a good chance to transition from technical to management/sales. In terms of money,, even if i get into middle management, the salary will be 130-140k max, can not get any higher than that in the next 5 years.... But it can give me a long shot at stepping up to senior management (i.e CxO level), which will be a long long way to go, 10 years ++ if I get very very lucky. If I go down the contractor path,, its not possible to progress into middle/senior management..

3. I have no dream after all these years of shit... I've started working straight after uni, its been 4.5 years now, changed 3 permenent job, more than 10 part time job, lost all the dream.

I dont do java these days.. nice work digging out my old post back in 2008 ! I think in my case: "I am 大忽悠(忽悠了雇主)" and just had some luck went my way.

Yes , it really depends on what technology you are doing , if you have 4.5 years experiences with SharePoint or dynamics AX or dynamics  CRM , I think it would be really easy to get the same amount of money as LZ.But if you are doing bespoke dev , like asp.net , java ... it would be harder but if you are really good ,you can get the same amount.

以我有限的经验 做IT 的从毕业开始平均每年涨一万是正常 LZ四万起4,5年后到10万是比正常快一点 也不算什么天方夜谈吧 也是LZ 个人能力的表现 就如当今足坛最棒的梅西也不过23岁 总不能说梅西只是忽悠吧

身边30岁一下年薪过十万的也不少，有几个是华人，觉得大家在质疑人家的同时也要想一下问什么华人拿10万年薪就是天方夜谭呢？难道华人就一定要做廉价劳动力？

可能我比较保守，我有不少朋友在澳洲做contractor，上当的多了。。contractor的工资是不可能拿full time的工作时间来计算的
