westmere used to be 2 to 5 houses on the market and people fight on the auction.
now, more than 18 with prices and by negotiation, some owners pull off from market as it is close to Christmas.
My take for next yr:
1) Political uncertainty next year. If labour and green can form gov't, they will punish investors ( local or foreign) big time. Even if National get elected, there will be string attached with minor party as property will be hot issue for some opportunist to gain votes and support.
2) Interest is set to rise, like it or not. If you have more than 1 million merely servicing interest, it is not a good sight. I have sold last month and reduce my debt to 25% of my total portfolio.
