medium company in NZ with net profit in the boss pocket of $730k or CEO of Watercare with salary if $730k?

of coz owning the business with net profit $730k, it's a no brainer, if i wanna retire (anytime), just sell the biz for $5 mil at least with that kinda turnover, then retire, but if you just got a job, work till you retire and you get nothing, if lucky you have kiwisaver.

mate - i think you need a come back down to earth. To put it to you this way, to be a owner of a successful business with annual profit of 730k, it requires far more skillset and hardwork than to be a CEO with a salary of 730k.

So add oil, when one day you become a owner of a large business, then employ me as your CEO, I'll only ask for a 300k salary.

well i m already running my own biz with a decent turnover, doesn't require big skill sets, just need to dream big, work hard and put your heart into it, you think Sam Morgan had a MBA when he was managing trademe? Did Mark Zuckerberg ever gotten a MBA or any management skillsets for running facebook? Of coz not.

Did you know more than 60% of computer science graduates from Stanford U went straight to creating businesses instead of looking for jobs, of coz most of those will fail, but at least they've tried at least once in their life, and that's why most of these IT startups came out of silicon valley, gotta start when you are young, the age group of those having the best/most creativity is 17-25, after that, you become less and less creative. I wish more kiwis/chinese are more like that, NZ needs a lot of entrepreneurs!

very good mate ! its good that you have that courage and passion to continue the dream. I must admit that I never had the opportunity to dream big and do something about it, just buried by responsibilities, raising kids, pay mortagage, and work and work..... I envy you !
