哦，不好意思，刚刚看到。

第二题你可以先画出来一个table. 从table算probability比较容易。

Hi, I've checked the answers...

I got different answers for 1(d) and 2.
For 1(d), I got 0.0111, i think it's just a tiny typing mistake that u have made...

For question 2, I first calculated the propability of getting 4 heads and 1 tail out of those 5 tosses by using Binomial probability function, then 1/5 of it.

我感觉不对啊,不应该这么简单的....... 我 assume pro of getting red card is 0.5 and a hear is 50% of 0.5不知道这样假设对不对呢?请阿童木帮忙啦

周末结束了，阿童木的脑子可以思考了。

首先我来讲一下Chapter 7的重点。Chapter 7是一个非常抽象的概念，我认为在stage 1，如果大家能做Chapter 7的题，大家就不用对Sampling Distribution担心。

Chapter 7一般在Term Test有两道题，第一道计算题90%的人可以答对。第二道概念题30%的人可以答对。这就能说明Chapter 7的计算并不难，但是概念的确不简单。

计算题的标准题型:

IE(X bar) = IE(X) = mu X
这个公式的意思是说The population mean is the sampling distribution mean

sd(X bar) = sigma/sqrt(n) approximately = s/sqrt(n)
这个公式的意思是说The sample standard deviation divided by the square root of the sample size is an approximate value for the standard deviation of the sampling distribution

那么，我们想知道Sampling distribution究竟是什么呢？我们首先要知道The population mean and sd are unknown. When we take repeated random samples from the unknown population, this forms a sampling distribution. Therefore we can work out the mean and sd for the sampling distribution.

Let T1 be tail on the first toss.

Let 4H1T be 4 tails and 1 head in five tosses.

a. IP(T1 & 4H1T) = IP(T1 & 4H1T) / IP(4H1T) = (0.5)^5 / (5C1 * 0.5^5) = 0.2

b. IP(T1 | 4H1T) = IP(T1 & 4H1T) / IP(4H1T) = (1-p)*p^4 / (5C1 * p^4 * (1-p)^4) = 0.2
