Chinese IT worker in NZ salary survey ! help everyone !!

I know there are many people in this forum working in the IT industry. So I liked to conduct a survey to see what the salary level for chinese IT professional in NZ. This will help us to identify what are the hot skills to have and to see if we are currently under paid/over paid etc.

So please be honest if you liked to participate

Start with myself, here is an example

Job Title: IT Consultant
Years of commercial experience: 4
Salary: 75k plus 8% bonus
skills: basic java skills, hibernate, web services(Axis 2), some ETL experience (Informatica), general consultancy skills (in other word, talking bullshit and alway share responsibility around)

If you are not comforatble giving the exact salary, u can give a range, like 70k to 80k etc....

If the purpose is to identify what are the hot skills, wouldn't it make more sense to just refer to some NZ based IT salary survey websites (e.g. http://itsalaryreport.co.nz/ or http://www.hays.net.nz/salary/default.aspx). Doing this on just chinese worker might give you a narrow view of which skill is worth acquiring as your candidates are targeted and not randomly selected (i.e. lots of chinese working in a specific IT area only).

Job Title: Network security architect (not my exact title)
Years of commercial experience: 12
Salary: (110k-130k) + 15% bonus + other employee perks.

Been here for 15 years... i dont think talking about salary is that much of an issue, I find most local kiwi people dont mind talking about it.

Well, survey is survey, it doesnt reflect chinese IT workers situtaion, I thought it'll be more realistic and direct to see how chinese IT worker is doing by asking and sharing on the forum.

But yes, this is bias, but by at the end of the day, we are all chinese, so i guess being bias might not be a bad thing...

sure, there will be those extreme high paid cases, especially some of those contractors with rare skill who gets paid $150 to $200 an hour... but i dont know any chinese gets thats, maybe there are some people on this forum gets that much.. lets see...

Honestly, I don't think salary  means much for IT professionals. It is what technology we bring in to the future that matters. However, you're asking about IT workers.... I am not too sure about that. For most IT professionals, we'll prefer like to have some share in the company, both in concepts contribution as well as in the financial market, rather then 100k salary or bonus .

For majoy IT companies (datacom, telecom, Gen-i, Orion, kiwiplan, Peace, Intergen, Simpl etc) they dont given employer shares..
