在一个洋人的网站，有人这样说：

At the top of the auction the auctioneer worked out that the leading bidder, likely of Chinese origin, didn't have a clue what he was doing and was waving his hand at anything just to make sure he won. Even though the gentleman was already the sole remaining bidder the auctioneer elicited three more bids from him at $50K increments. But what is $150K on top of an already overpriced property?

wa, 真有这事啊！中介在干什么？眼看着自己同胞被坑？

这事儿遇见了也不能拦着啊，人家有钱任性啊。再说中介傻的啊，你要多付钱他们有更多的提成拿他们为什么要拦啊。

中介至少应该提醒一下，说房子已经到手啦，他就不会啥愣愣又丢钱又丢人！只为钱不要做人的人不会有好下场的！

one thing I didn't understand......

I was in an auction, the guy put his hand up all the time, didn't even look at auctioneer, just say add, add, add.
Then I walk away and said no more from me,  then auctioneer made fun ( said something to poke fun of me walking away)  of me, that guy still said add $XXX$.... then everyone on the floor laugh. Then he looked up and wondering why people laughing !!!

I went home and thought he won the auction already, I told my wife, it was over.
The next day, I saw the property on the website with price on.....

i was very surprised..... Is that guy a real bidder? or just actor ????

That guy is Chinese, came with a few agents from the same company

Then, i called the agent and asked her why is it not sold to that guy, she didn't want to answer me much, just avoiding the question,.... and said, if you want the property, you can still buy it etc ,  made me really doubting this company's auction process...

( sorry i can't type Chinese at office computer)

很简单，没到reserve price，拍卖师应该先拉卖家协商那时的最高出价接不接，如果不接，拍卖师再与最高出价的人协商要不要一次提高到reserve price. 如果愿意，拍卖师出来宣布reserve price, 然后如果有人继续，就从那个价格起拍。如果不愿意，就流拍。
看拍卖最好是从头跟到尾，没有到宣布谁拍到时，一切都有可能。如果bidder是假的，一般到最后不会一直跟拍的。最后几分钟都是真刀真枪刀刀见血啊，我就是被捅了好几刀后拖出来的。

其实拍卖里面也有很多玄机的。这个人有可能不是真正的Bidder。有的时候卖家为了把价格挑高，找人假装去拍，没想到没人跟拍，最后就流拍了。也有可能这个人磕药了或喝醉了，自己干什么都不清楚，表面看起来和正常人没啥不同。如果拍卖师发现异常的话，可以取消他/她竞拍。
