Engineering Maintenance Technician

Zeta Group (NZ) Ltd is looking for a skilled Engineering Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the continuous operation of our plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain plant and machinery.
• Assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Offer ongoing electrical and mechanical support.
• Read and write to PLC and other software as needed.
• Order spare parts or equipment when necessary.
• Provide technical support to staff.
• Ensure all safety procedures and standards are followed.
• Conduct fault finding in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Work overtime to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical and/or electrical background with New Zealand registration as a mechanical fitter and/or electrician.
• Skilled in fault finding, ideally within a FMCG environment with high-speed packaging or process control.
• Familiarity with automation and robotics.
• Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and excellent organisational abilities.
• Proficient in PLC, SCADA, and HDMI software, with knowledge of AC drives.
• Solid mechanical background.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in Mandarin and English.

Education and Qualifications:

• Registered industrial electrician or qualified mechanical fitter in New Zealand.
• A Degree or Diploma in Engineering Technology.
• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background with relevant work experience.
