We are a well-established Kitchen & furniture joinery business operating for over 8 years. We offer custom made joinery from individual homeowners to large commercial housing developments. We currently have a position open for a Quantity Estimator/Surveyor. This is a multi-faceted role that is primarily based on estimating joinery from architectural plans & client specifications but may also include client meetings to discuss design, occasional site visits and design work using CAD. We are looking for a self-driven person who thrives under pressure and also is able to work as part of a collaborative team within our busy environment. Key Responsibilities: • Creating quotes and sales estimates • Creating and submitting variations • Communicating professionally and effectively with clients and suppliers as necessary • Procurement of suppliers to assist with your quotes • Submitting quotes for tendering purposes, ensuring all work is thoroughly checked and 100% accurate prior to submission • Handover jobs to project team for pre-production design work • Proactively communicate with clients regularly and build strong relationships Requirements • Proven 1-2 years experience as an estimator or similar position
• Familiarity with financial and project management principles
• In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
• Exquisite math and IT ability with an analytical mindset
• Proficient in relevant software (Microsoft Office Suite, CostX etc)
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
• Thoroughness and reliability
• Excellent organizational skills
