'Terror plot' causes mass disruption
Report
01:31
Aug. 10 - UK police say they have foiled a transatlantic aircraft bomb plot.
Security officials say the terror plan intended to commit, ''mass murder on an unimaginable scale.'' The country stepped up its threat level to critical, which means an attack is expected imminently.
Although British police have not said who they think is behind the so-called plot, the U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff says the UK operation suggests links to al Qaeda.
Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.
