I hope you don't mind me reply in English. My Chinese typing is too slow.
32 is not old in IT. I've seen plenty of developers in 40 and 50, whom is also extremely good at what they do.
However your problem is 32 is probably too old to apply graduate programs or roles. But it's not end of the world.
This is a very good question. This prove you've done your homework and is asking the right questions. As of now, cloud, big data, BI / DW, UX / CX (user experience, customer experience) is in high demand at NZ. But this is IT, the landscape may change very quickly. Just 2-3 years ago iOS is at very top of the list.
In NZ / AUS, 学位 is not important. The following 3 things is important:
1. Experience
2. Experience
3. Experience
I think the job market in general is very competitive these days. Yes even graduate is expected to have relevant experience when looking for first job. You need acquire as many experience as you can. Join Open Source projects, even look for voluntary work experience.
Lastly, fluency in mainstream programming languages will increase the odds of you find first job dramatically, java, C#, Ruby, php, java script, etc... It prove you can be cross trained to whatever program language required easily. |
