(I am working in Healthcare industry and have decided to design the asset management system for the company, because I usually look for things to do in the office and improve efficiency both for finance team and otherteams. I am putting up my thoughts and ideas for scrutiny and anyone can criticise and contribute to this design process. For privacy, I will omit some important words and only give code number. This system can be copied, modified and used by your company free of charge and please cited from Skykiwi mwe23. )
Here is a scenario: we are extending the building and renovating many offices, so everything has to be removed and relocated. It is good time to put a new complex and almost flawless system in the place. There are many offices in the building, and we have coded each room. Each room will havemany furniture and fitting (desk, chair, cabinet, computer etc). Furniture or fitting can moved to a new office, so it is good to track them (Tracking system). There will be new furniture which be put into an office and oldfurniture can be disposed (Process for new furniture and disposal).
I define several things to start with the new AMS (asset management system).
Coding System:
- Define the category for different types ofassets. o Furniture and Fittings, including desk, chair,table, o Electrical equipment, including computerhardware, TV, server, printer, o Computer Software, including accounting system,medical system, IT security system, o Clinical equipment, including doctor equipment, (manymachine I don’t know names yet) - Define the areas in the building o Administration (A00 - ), including all
