As the cost of a two-litre bottle of milk tops $3 opportunistic thieves have allegedly stolen more than 4000 litres of milk in the Bay of Plenty.
More than 2000 two-litre bottles of milk, cream and other dairy goods have been taken from a storage unit in Mount Maunganui, Fairfax reported.
Police believe the thieves were stealing to order.
The milk was taken on three occasions this month and a truck and trailer were likely used, police say.
Police want to speak to Peter Mark Gillard, 51, in connection to the thefts. |
