New payment fees and changes to discounts take effect 1 July 2010

Mercury Energy is implementing new payment fees from 1 July 2010 for payments made over the counter, cheque and one off credit card payments. These fees will appear on your bill the following month. Payment type Fee (from 1 July 2010) Payment made in person over the counter $1.50 Payments made by cheque* $0.50 One-off credit card transactions** Payments up to $500 - $2.50 fee Payments over $500 - $5.00 fee Payments over $1,000 - $10.00 fee These charges can be avoided by using direct debit or electronic payment facilities (internet or telephone banking). These are hassle free ways to pay your Mercury Energy bill each month and mean you automatically receive your 10% prompt payment discount if you pay in full and by the due date. * Payments made by cheque in person over the counter will be $1.50 (they will not incur the additional cheque fee). ** Credit card transaction fee does not apply to pre-arranged recurring monthly credit card payments. Credit card transactions are only available on some price plans. EasyPay discount no longer available From 1 July 2010, the 1% EasyPay discount which has previously applied to electronic payments made by direct debit, automatic payment, telephone banking, and internet banking will no longer be available. However, Mercury Energy customers will continue to enjoy a 10% discount on all accounts paid in full by the due date. 是不是连用信用卡付款都要收钱了? 那以后只能DIRECT DEBIT了，而且不能用信用卡？？？

用CREDIT CARD多方便啊？又可以积分，又没有FEE……（当然，上面说ONE-OFF CREDIT CARD PAYMENT还是要收2点5刀就是）

那是DIRECT CREDIT，不是DIRECT DEBIT
DIRECT DEBIT只能从你的NORMAL BANK ACC里面定期扣钱
而DIRECT CREDIT可以定期从你的信用卡里扣钱

direct debit 挺好的  從來就不再操心了
