Hi there,
Thanks very much for using your weekend to attend my experiment. In case you don’t know the physical address of the Psychology Department, University of Canterbury (UC), I will attach a map after this email. The red dot on the map is the Psychology Building, and the yellow square illustrates the closest car park to the Building. On weekend, it’s free to park your car there. If it is the first time for you to visit the UC, alternatively, you can follow the link http://maps.canterbury.ac.nz/home/browse/1218 and use the “to here” function of the GoogleMap to find the route from your starting point.
As it’s weekend, the Building is not open to the people who are not Psyc/Sociology staff/students. I will be waiting for you at the foyer of the Psychology Building from 10 mins to the experiment time (i.e., 10.50 am and 14.50 pm respectively) to receive you and bring you in the Building. The experiment has to kick off at the accurate time as I don’t want to waste the participants’ valuable time. However, if you are late (due to traffic jam, not familiar with the route etc.) and couldn’t find me in front of the Building, please don’t panic. After having others started the experiment, I will come back to check later if you have arrived.
Your friends, partner, adult family members are also welcomed to join this research.
Last but not least, we will need to fill out a few paper-and-pen questionnaires, please bring a pen with you.
Again, I really appreciate your kind help, meanwhile, wish you a good luck to win the prize of $70!
Best regards,
Jerry Dai, the experimenter
