The position involves supporting and leading theteam, communicating with families and ensuring that the centre operates as ahigh-performing centre based on quality and genuine interactions between staff,children and whanau.
Asour successful Lead teacher, you will:
- Support your team to manage children'sroutines
- Work alongside your team in planningand implementing learning experiences related to children's interests &strengths
- Create a culture of building meaningfulrelationships with children and their whanau
- Role model desire and passion for quality practicestandards and commitment to the principles of TeWhāriki
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of programmeplanning/assessment, pedagogy and curriculum (creatinglearning stories that reflect children's learning journey, contributing to walldisplays where children's learning is made visible)
- Hold a Bachelor/ Diploma of Education Teaching(ECE) and current Certification
- Have a minimum of 3 years NZ ECE teachingexperience
- Experience as a Lead Teacher is preferable but notmandatory
