As we continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Junior IT Help Desk Technician to join our support team. Role OverviewThis is an entry-level position suitable for a candidate who is passionate about IT support and eager to learn. You will be providing technical assistance to our clients primarily in Microsoft 365, desktop support, antivirus, data backup, and various cloud-based software solutions. The role offers excellent hands-on experience and career development in enterprise ICT environments. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support Provide level 1 support for customer enquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Assist clients with login issues, email setup, password resets, and file access.
Desktop & ICT Support Set up and maintain Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Install and update antivirus software (e.g., ESET, Windows Defender). Assist with data backup solutions and ensure successful backup status. Support common office software and printing/scanning devices. Conduct regular software and security patch updates.
Cloud Computing & Systems Monitoring Provide basic support and understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace, AWS, or Dropbox. Assist in user management and cloud resource access. Monitor basic IT infrastructure performance using company tools.
Documentation & Coordination Record support tickets, issues, and resolutions accurately in the helpdesk system. Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior engineers. Assist in documenting IT procedures and support FAQs for internal use.
RequirementsA diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or currently studying). 0–2 years of relevant experience in IT support or helpdesk environment. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin and end-user tools. Basic understanding of Windows OS, desktop hardware, and network connectivity. Knowledge of antivirus software and backup tools is a plus. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Full NZ Driver’s License and ability to drive to client sites when required.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). ITIL or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, AZ-900) are a plus. Experience using ticketing systems like Freshdesk, Zendesk, or ConnectWise.
