As a Site Engineer, you will provide support to the Project Engineer and Supervisor with the completion of site activities, documentation, resource management as well as tracking and identification of claims. What you’ll get in involved in: - Open trench works, shaft and chamber construction, retaining structures and live sewer diversions
- Participate at site meetings and record detailed notes and/or minutes
- Documentation and filing of all project information
- Monitor, track and assess subcontractor, supplier and plant dockets
- Compilation of incoming material certification records, ITPs and checklists
- Assist with the monitoring of works to ensure that they are carried out in line with all relevant designs, specifications, methodologies
- Assist in the preparation of safety, quality and environmental plans, including safe work method statements and construction method statements, ITPs, and purchasing plans
- Develop and maintain site registers
- Work with Site Supervisor & Management to update and maintain project programmes
- Manage procurement for the materials, plant & equipment onsite
- Assist Management with planning and engineering activities
- Preparation of weekly reporting, progress reports & tracking
Skill and experience required: - Minimum 12 months of Site Engineering experience in underground construction / tunnelling, infrastructure projects
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- A willingness to learn and work as a team is most valuable
- Experience with retaining structures, open trench works, and shaft and chamber construction preferred, but not essential
- Site administration experience, including the compiling of ITP’s
- Proficient in MS Project and excel and ideally Aconex
- Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
- Sound planning and organisational skills
- Progressive thinking and robust project administration capabilities
- Strong, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
