The Health Lab is a rising dietary supplements manufacturer, located in West Auckland. We seek a highly-motivated & experienced R&D Technologist.

Skills and Experience Required to Succeed in this Role:

- Tertiary qualification in relevant technical diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or Nutrition Science
- Knowledge or experience in RMP, HACCP and/or GMP based management programs.
- Experience in R&D / NPD in the Food, supplement or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of local FSANZ Food Standards code and Dietary Supplements regulations.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

- Own and execute new product development from conception to commercialisation.
- Manage NPD projects.
- Establish and verify specification of the raw ingredients, packaging material, bulk and finished products.
- Actively keep abreast of market trends and new innovations and feed that back into the R&D stream.
- Source and trial novel ingredients, equipment and processes at a pace
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and labelling information, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Continuous and rapid improvement of products, process and quality.
- Research industry best practices & latest developments through leveraging key relationships both internally and externally.
- Ensure all products introductions and changes meet Food Safety and regulations and reflect customer expectations.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels
